Leather stamps

Just ordered a set of number / letter stamps in both standard and gothic so i can do innitials / names on my fly / needle wallets and glasses cases

expensive hobby this leather work !

Can you briefly describe how to use the stamps? I never did any leatherwork but I noticed the stamps in a knifemaker shop and wonder how they work

Wet the leather. Place stamp on leather.
Place handle (usually separate to the stamp) on the back of the stamp. Hit handle with mallet.
Job done!
