Leather moccasins

Decided I wanted to make some leather moccasins for my daughter.

After getting the leather I set about making the templates and marking out my cuts.

Once I had marked and made the cuts this is what I had.

Then it was a case of stitching the back of the upper shoe and then stitching the upper shoe to the soul of the moccasins.

Once this was done I added some leather cordage to be able to secure it when the moccasins are on my daughters feet.

This is the finished result.

What I've learned is that the bridge of the moccasins need measuring and then at least an extra inch adding to allow for extra stretching and stitching.

It's at this point you tell us your daughter is 14 and they didn't quite fit her, but she loved 'em anyway cos her daddy made 'em.
