All you need is metal dessert bowls and a clamp , wet the leather and clamped it between the two bowls overnight , trimmed off the excess and reinforced the handle with double layer of veg tan leather.... done .
Next one I will turn two wooden plugs to make a bigger one , cup is 30mm deep this holds about a 1/2 cup of water but its more of a ''stream drinking cup'' than a beverage cup. You can see were the spotweld marks of the modified bowl is in the leather .

Great idea :D

How would you go about waxing it ? Pure beeswax melted in perhaps or melted with some oil of some sort ?

Thinking about giving it a go myself but not sure about the best way to treat it.
