Hi guys I have just joined the forum after following it for some time. I have just recently got hold of an unissued polish lavvu but would like to either add a zip or some kind of loop system (like the marques). Has anyone tried this? Also what kind of ground sheet do people tend to use?

Yes we had an old Dutch army tent that we broke down for the materials and zips, a big heavy duty zip that fitted the lavvu perfectly

I did this mod about 12 months since, so joining the 2 shelter-halves together shouldn't be too difficult whichever method you choose to use.
