Form follows function?
And might that be for the now-discontinued double-edged dagger that Gerber advertised way back in my youth? Stacked leather handle? Dang, I wanted one of those. (Yes, totally useless, but oh! so cool!) Whoops. Yeah, the Cold Steel boot knife is me trying to capture something I couldn't afford back then.

On the bushcraft side, though, CS has a decently-priced and -shaped hunter blade in the drop-forged one-piece series. It even comes without the gold bling paint. These things are bearing steel, very hard, very brittle, easier to sharpen than D-2.
