Last nights camp (above the clouds)

Not really sure what to say about this camp, neither words nor pictures will do justice to just how beautiful an experience it was to watch the sun set beneath the clouds from Corn Du last night.

The camp went well, though. The wind picked up during the night but I took ear plugs this time and apart from waking up a couple of times during the night, I slept well and didn't awake until gone 7am this morning. The Rab Neutrino 700 performed great, I had to unzip the bag during the night as I was too warm. Woke up to thick fog and strong winds.

Great photographs. Magical being above the clouds isn't it? This brings back memories of looking down on a thunderstorm in the alps.

I thought that the second photo might have been just that but the shadow is on the hillside so I suppose that the halo might be cloud.

Yes, forgot to add the photo. It's not a great photo, I took it on my phone. In my excitement, I was too much in a rush to get to Corn Du to get some photos of the cloud inversion with my mirrorless.

I'm not sure what the second photo is either, but there was definitely something circular.
