A little walk out today around Langsett Reservoir.

Just a little, but a nice walk out. You either walk on the compacted stuff which is slippy, or in the knee deep soft stuff. I enjoyed it.

I should have pic'ed the ruins as well, but never thought. We were sat on a wall of what looks like the main house. To the right is an out building of some sort with door frame uprights still remaining. Not sure about the stones in the pic as they are a bit lower down. As you say it could well be a boundary gate, or bigger stones from the bottom end of the building.

I often sit there thinking I'd love a house just there. Then I look at 3 foot high drifts and it tempers that thought
