I had a bit of spare time so I thought I'd try to collate all the

That's as far as I can get for now. If anyone knows of a good review of Moras or that would probably be useful too. If I can get this tidied up could it be added to the FAQ on this edged tools forum?

Wouldn't it be as well just listing a Mora as the "definitive" starter knife? Most of those threads seem to suggest a Mora, and the rest do have some gorgeous knives, but they seem too expensive to be a starter knife, y'know? The usual scrapes and dings that a knife accumulates while learning to sharpen should, in my humble opinion, be kept where possible to a knife that won't be wept over

That being said, I still use my first Clipper - awesome knife! And I probably would weep over its demise...

Regardless, good collection of threads there, it seems that I missed most of them before
