I do.
Just finished making a trial pair from Sally's pattern.
Very simple, beautifully easily explained and makes big squishy socks that will felt down to make perfect fit.

I usually knit with fine wool and fine pins so this was a whole other ball game for me, but it worked, and very quick to do.
A sock an evening, when it usually takes at least a week per sock on the 2.5mm pins.

Sally's pattern can be found here:

and Sally's website (and she makes socks to order) can be found here:

cheers,
Toddy

It's a lightbulb moment knitting on four pins :D
It looks like the most impossible contortion and then suddenly, it just works :approve:

A skill worth learning is knitting socks and such like

I have done socks but theres not much point as they fly off my mums needles so kwik its depressing! We both spin and that makes all the difference to the resultant warmth- we tend to not over detergent the fleece to keep in lots of natural lanolin and the regular fleeces available round here tend to be pretty coarse so are great for hardwearing woolen spun sox which felt up a little. 'Course, one of natural wools inherent qualities is the heat of wetting- it heats up as it absorbs moisture but doesnt' cool down appreciably as its drying so its a fab fibre for true warmth :) She knits with 4+1 needles, theres some cheap bamboo ones on fleabay which are lovely to knit with :)
