Should I use my knife's edge for scraping purposes, e.g. scraping of bark, scraping arrows, tillering bows?
Or would that dull the edge?
I find the back of my knife doesn't work well for tillering purposes.

Cheers,

Niels

+1 to Perrari's post. Yes, it will dull the edge but so what? Any real use will do so, and it can be resharpened.

You could also take a file to the spine of your knife and square it slightly or remove the coating, so it'll have edge.

I have, but it never becomes a good tillering scraper. The angle need be just a little bit les than 90 degrees for scraping those tiny controlled curls of the belly of the bow.
Thanks for your post:)
