Hi a friend at work has given me this knife.quote" your into that bear grylls stuff aren't yer".i can tell its a mass production knife I was just wondering if anyone could tell me anything about it n whether the steels much kop thinkin if making it a re handle project.thanks Andy

Looks like a Muela bowie of some sort, moly-vanadium stainless steel apparently

I had one of those as a kid Its the wildcat or similar name. NIce enough knife for a 15 year old boy, but not ideally suited to bushcraft!

Ha. There is a tool for every job.
Just make sure you keep it in the sheath. You don't want all the other table knives to clatter around and spoil that lovely factory edge!
