I have drunk deep of the waters if the Kinder river - and with my normal "filter and boil" purification, have had no ill effects ... mind you it was all a while back....

I've drunk it plenty of times either run through the purifier or boiled.

I wouldn't drink it untreated though. Is a popular area and some use it as a toilet on the platuea-I've seen it more than once.

My friend drinks it untreated, but hes been doing it most of his adult life, never gets ill? I think he's daft! Fine to drink treated.

Hi all thats great, put my mind at rest as we are doing the part of the Peninne Way from Edale to Crowden over 1 1/2 days so we can now climb up to the plateau carrying just one litre each with an easy mind, will be using a Platypus clean stream and a post filter chlorine treatment and then run through a carbon filter to reduce taste. Thanks Guys :)
