Yes it can. Oddly, my local garage used to sell kerosine and paraffin, they looked different & were different prices. I think they just sell kero now & I run my pressure stoves on it

Peter T is correct.

Paraffin is a British term for Kerosene. If the Primus stove is designed to run on Paraffin then it will run fine on Kerosene.

Another name for paraffin and kerosene is "28 second burning oil". Something to do with how long a gallon of it takes to go through a hole. Anyway, it's what they use for heating and you can probably get it a lot cheaper from heating oil suppliers than from the local petrol station. Diesel is 32 second burning oil, or thereabouts, plus road fuel duty of course.
