Pignut. parang verses leuku.... I rate both of these tools very highly but the parang wins for me on its incredible chopping power due to the shape of the blade, its not overly large it fits inside my pack, its easy to sharpen and holds a wicked edge also its good for finer work and digging if needed ! all in all very good for somthing thats 100 years old and cost £3.00

I wonder how they look now, as I understand these are users? I'd love to see them 'worn' in, if that makes any sense..

Not much change actually.
I have scorched the handle of the Leuku to darken it down a bit but otherwise they all look pretty much the same.
Just because they are users does not mean they get abused.
