Hi all,
I am new to the bushcraft community but have been interested in the outdoors way of life a long time. I have a very old sheath knife that belonged to a great uncle of mine and although he died a long time ago it did not pass to me until recently when my great aunt died. I also inherited a WW2 fighting Khukuri unfortunately they had not been looked after for a long time. The knives have both sharped up well and i have all the rust off the sheath knife and still battling to clean up the Khukuri to a good standard. but the main problem is that both the sheathes have perished and I would like to make new one for both. Does anyone have any idea what the best way to make sheathes would be? I have heard several mentions of wet forming leather but have no idea what it would be like.
All help is greatly welcomed.
