me and the missus off for a weekend of p & q at shell island - only problem is it's raining so hard up in merseyside and n wales that even the cats and dogs are staying in!

When I was a kid living in brum, the only place I could drag my none climbing/hill walking friends to for a camp was Shell Island; we had many a great weekend and 2 two week holidays there. Back then you could have open fires on the beach, lots of driftwood about, but I think that's been stopped now?

A mate went last year and was surprised to see the shop on site still selling meths and paraffin
