Just had to cook something!!!

Had an urge to cook something, so knocked up a candle from a split log. Toilet tissue soaked in candle wax and a few small sticks to get it started. Few moments when I thought it had gone out but I was a good boy and left it alone, then soon enough, there no way it was going out.

Had to move the pot up high once it had come to the boil. Been a good while since I have used the Swedish for more then boil in the bag.



Let it simmer for a good while



Ok it was tinned suet pudding but still not boil in a BAG.

Tasted lovely even without custard and met the need. I will do Coq au Vin another day!

Missed the custard but hit the mark. The tin will make a good fire bowl. Tried using the (boil in the) bag as a fire bowl, not great.

The Swedish pots are just perfect for boil in the bag though! And hotdogs from the tin...

I have them moments where I have to cook something on an open fire so I got some wood with my eldest boy and cooked up some pheasant
