Hi all
Just got back home from Woodland Survival Crafts Winter Survival Course.
Oh what fun.
Good mix of people and skills and first class instruction.
Well worth the money.

West Devon, Edge of Dartymoor!
They were definately maggots.....and they were definitely fried (some were even 'popped') and NO, i didn't try any :yuck:

Had a great time, learnt a few new tricks...met a few new faces..and a few old ones..and the obligitary yarns around the camp fire!!

what to do next.........

Oh, glad to see you got home safely Garry. maybe see you new year?

Absolutely Steve.
And as promised to Tony and Dave, I will do a full review of both courses very soon.
Jon.........were you there in disguise? Yes we ate maggots, they were living where I was going to put my bed lol

I don't think they should be called fried, I think dry roasted is a little more accurate, and makes it sound appetitising.
They actually weren't bad at all really.

But still raw and wriggling, dave..........
