Ikea sell lovely Lingenberry jam. Low sugar - terrific for diabetics!

i have no idea how the swedish can grow enough lingonberries to supply an international furniture store with jam. the fruit takes 2 years to mature and are tiny and the plants are a bugger to grow. (practically got to grow them in a pine forest or something).

this has been a cracking jam year though. soft fruit aplenty.

I had my eye on a big patch of brambles at an abandoned allotment site near by... Left 'em too long and somebody else has cleaned it out! :(

Aww.

Im not a great jam lover (too sweet...i dont say no to a cream tea though. Which is about the only time I ever eat jam)

I picked a lot of damsons with Pteron the other day and hes making jam.

Im told damson jam is the king of jams.

I also picked some more damsons for my uncle whos mad on damson pie...here they are going over so if you want damsons...go get them NOW.
