German red squirrels do not like grey squirrels. Perhaps it's a communication problem.

I have a rabbit call that works an absolute charm at attracting foxes. It mimics an injured rabbit and the Fox comes to investigate.

No. If you catch a grey you legally have to kill it, you aren’t allowed to release it.
