Is there a technical definition of a Tall Ship.

:D I know what you mean...I sailed past these on the way up the canal into San Juan, Puerto Rico. Like floating hotels.

That one is nothing. We get the biggest montrosities visiting.
Those are huuuuuuge.

We can get up to maybe 7 of cruise ships on a bad day. We never go into town when there are cruise ships in harbour.

People think Titanic was big.
These thingies would dwarf her.
 
Last 3 times I was in Fiji, I went around to the harbor at Latoka.
There was always a BIG sailer looking for crew.
Maybe just to get to Honolulu or Auckland, some place like that.

I can't figure out how to copy the picture but there's huge 4-masted ship with square sail rigging from Peru
in Vancouver harbour right now. They are quite fond of BC coastal Sitka spruce for masts.
 
If you like Tall Ships, but do not want to risk the sea sickness, you can visit and sleep in one.
