Hi All,

This fungi pops up on the roots of this tree every year. Its on my local dog walk and i thought i had always come across a half rotten specimen every time. This time i took a closer look and it looks like this is its healthy state.
Any ideas?

The tree is a plane as far as i remember.

I dont think its hoofy enough? If that's a word. I thought it was an old bunch of oyster gone awf.
Shrooms are not my strong suit as I cant stand eating them so little incentive.

Looks like going off Meripolus to me. Usually enjoys scoffing Beech roots.
Absolutely not Horses hoof.
An expert will be along just now :)
