Inspired by a pouch by topknot I had a go at tooling a small pocket phone case. I got the Oak leaves whilst out with dogs yesterday and imprinted them onto the leather(that's why they don't look like the stylized American version of oak leaf)

I think I have got them a bit dark really, any tips appreciated.

How did you impress the leaves into the leather?
Tell us more!

I found the oak leaves to be pretty tough and durable. They were a little bit dry and curly, so I wet them to flatten them out. I then wet the leather and placed the leaves "vein side down" onto the wet leather and kinda rubbed and pressed it in. The outer edge was a bit feint, but was bold enough to enable me to get a good cut going, just cut the rest of the imprint in with the knife.
