Over the last few weeks ive spent more time in my local woods than ever before and I just wanted to say thanks to you all ive been reading the forum on and off for years and have been inspired recently to just get out in nature a bit more, im an avid cyclist and tend to go for a burn rather than a walk in the woods, now im learning to identify trees, some tracks tie knots and im in the process of making a walking staff ive looked at blogs websites and so much more since I came to this forum so thanks and I look forward to reading more and learning some stuff.

That's great to read Troyka.

I've learned so much on here that's saved me years of mistakes etc.

The patience, helpfulness and kindness shown by the members on here has been astounding.

This is the first site I log onto when on the internet and it's my favourite.

Have to confess I am not very strong on identifying trees beyond the obvious ones, all the rest I suppose are alder, there is a lot of it about :)
