Day to day I use a thick leather double compartment brass zipped cross body bag of which I at least know was originally designed for the female market, to not let that stop me using what is perfect for what I need, but when I need to carry more or load up with stuff I find in the outdoors, I turn to a heavy cotton WW2 style gas mask bag of which I remember cost something like £6 to have thus far lasted about 13 years.
