IMCO Triplex super 6700 in UK

As title I remember buying one back in 2010 for around £5 and I would like to get another one for a friend in the USA.

Who's got them on the shelf for reasonable money in the UK?

I did hear that the factory had shutdown but not sure how true that is

Yes, I have just been reading about that, they shut in june 2012 and sold off all the remaining stock. wicks are still available and zippo flints fit.

How sad is that, I am amazed by the manufacturing quality that went into my lighter and I really am gutted they will no longer be made.

It's one of those things you take for granted that they will always be around and then boom they are gone.

Guess I'll have to buy one at a premium.

I liked mine a lot but the fuel evapourated too quickly so it always needed filling when I needed it most. Swapped to a peanu lighter which lasts for bloomin' ages.

I was lucky I guess and bought one last year. I wish I had bought an extra one now mind you. Beware of fakes on ebay and Amazon though as they are legion.

I can't find mine so want another now I'm gutted.
