Hi, I'm new to the forum, only discovered it about an hour ago, but looks good and I'm already planning on coming to the moot this year.
Anyway, a bit about me, I have always loved the outdoors, still go hiking/camping (what's one without the other?), did a lot in the military on courses and in my own free time. Walked over 100 miles alone before now, camping out as I went and loved the freedom it gave me.
No mobile signal at the moot sounds like a great thing to me

It'd be good to hear from people who've been to the moot in previous years, because I think it looks great and want as much info as I can get
and might end up going it alone. My mates are all boring and can't hack tents. Grown men this is. Shameful lol they need their comfy beds or it's a no go. I try to tell them if they walk enough, they'll sleep on rocks and wiggle themselves into the gaps to get comfy lol but no, they won't have it. I think a few lumps, once you adjust yourself can be better than an orthopaedic bed! lol maybe it's just me, but in the navy I did go asleep on top of a running engine the size of a minibus lol with my ear defenders on hahaha
