Following on from another thread in the camp and carry section I went ahead and bought the Ikea shear curtains in question. http://www.bushcraftuk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=74178

There are 4 tabs on each of the long sides for use with shock cord so that the sides stay flush with the hammock as I still wanted the option of using my diy cocoon like underquilt with the net. There are 2 centre tabs for connecting to the head and foot of the hammock and 2 tabs for each of the small spreader bars also attached with shock cord

I'm quite pleased with it but I don't know how robust the material will be in the long run but if it works I'll invest in specific midge netting from elsewhere. It's currently set up in the garden in the quite strong wind and i'll see how the net stands up to the stress points where i've stitched.
Thanks for looking.
