Identify the moth.

I took this picture a couple of years ago on a garden wall, south Somerset.
I struggled to ID it and had to contact the chap from UKMoths to find out what it was in the end.

Note the image of a Tiger face in the markings - it has nothing to do with the name by the way.

Anyone fancy having a guess?

That is really difficult, I can't even nail the family for this one, but at a guess I'd go with one of the Geometers. I can see why you needed to get a pro to ID it.

I struggled for days, the chap at UKMoths did remark that he'd never seen the Tiger markings before.
