I need a sponsor!!!!!!!

Does anyone work at an outdoor school/survival school that can help?

Ok, what I’m after is a sponsor for some survival type basic equipment.
It’s for a competition I will be holding some time in the future, dates to be confirmed.
The comp will be improvised catering, military skills and survival skills; the bit you will all be interested in will be the survival skills...

This will involve:
Fire lighting
Game prep
Cooking of said game

The items I will need are:

Fire steels/flint and striker of some sort
Knifes of some sort (mora clipper etc) cheep functional reliable blades
Bow drill kits

Numbers are as yet to be confirmed but somewhere in or around 20 teams. That means about ad least 20 of the said items.
If anyone can help please post up or pm me....

People who help will be invited to help with the judging if those dates are available to them.

You need to produce a sponsorship pack. A DVD explaining the details of your event it's aims and objectives. Also list what the benefits will be for the people handing over their products or cash. have you got links to the media etc already lined up.

Getting sponsorship is not easy. Most companies receive requests daily. The guys that end up raising lots of sponsorship have a clear strategy. There are a number of sponsorship agencies out there if you think your event merits their attention.

If you can list exactly what you're looking for that will help too.

thanks Wayne, im not after much really, just come clippers and fire steels, people will get to plug the shop etc. its just that im fed up of buying kit that gets destroyed by others out of my own pocket.

everything is in really really early stages, i still need funding for ammo, food, a location for the inf skills, the improvised and game + fire prep, i also need funding for the game etc etc etc etc.....

i just thought there might be a shop that would donate some stuff for a good plug....

Maybe folks could help out bit by bit rather than one school or shop picking up the bill ?
Even if it were just help to sort out buying at cost price and a few chipping in.

well TBH the catering and mill skills I dont want to talk about as people could see it and spoil the supprise...

the game prep is just rabbits which will be given to contestants whole, they will then prep them to be cooked.i might also add a trout and some pigeon depending on funds etc etc. the game will then be cooked by the said people on open fires, no pots pans etc will be allowed...

the team will then be assed on how well the game was preped and cooked, also taking into account hygiene and areas being tidy etc etc....

the fire will be made with a limmited amount of tinder, this will come in the form of hey, to light the said fire a bow brill set will be given to the team.

this is the final phase of the comp and will be at the end of a very very hard week (trust me)......the improvised and mill skills are first...
