A friend of mine from France had a couple of these as pets (rather his small son did)
a few years back. We'd never heard of them before and used to ask him about them
all the time - we were sure he was confusing it with gerbil!

Fully agree Fred. Just having a bit of fun. The demise of any animal cute and cuddly or not is always a tradgedy. (don't get me started on the fish stocks ) I hope the numbers increase and they are left alone.
