Can any one help I.D this please, i was asked if i knew what tree it came from and i do not have a clue so i was hoping one of you would be able to help, thanks

No idea if they're edible but they're lovely aren't they? They hardly ever seem to fall off
the trees and, to me, look like year round decorative baubles. Probably not that
surprising given the name but there are loads of them around Whitehall and Trafalgar
Square - there's an absolute beaut by bus stop C if you ever find yourself there!

Not that long ago I dismantled one and all I found inside once I'd taken all the bits off
was a ball of fluff!! I wonder if they'd make rather good tinder.

Interesting... We have one near work, was starting to wonder what it was..

I'd guess if it's fluffy it probably makes a good tinder - I'll collect some on Monday and have a go.. :)
