If you’re native British. We have wider feet for some reason, so most British shoe/boot manufacturers make wide fittings for that reason.(why cram your feet into slim fitting ones is beyond me).
Some people just have thin skin, so they’ll have to experiment to feel comfortable.
There’s a whole host of information out there for the flat bottomed/wide footed plodder.
I’ve experimented with various socks/insoles over the years & yes I’ve felt every darn in some, but none in others?
Bridgedale socks suit me fine & have never suffered.. the worst were Thorlo socks, yet I swore by their insoles.
