I am so upset with myself :(

So I was in the process of making my 2nd ever sheath, it was going great I had done all the cutting, stamping, dying, gluing and stitching....
All I needed to do was clean up the edge, slick it and dye it, but first lets see how the knife looks in it?
Mmmmm a bit tight at first... Just needs stretching out a bit!!
So I put the knife in a bit more and what happen? The blade penetrates through the middle of the sheath 😭
I really can't believe it I worked so hard on it and it looked so good aswell 😰

I need to cut the loop to get the ring back off it as it was gonna be a dangler, Iv started all over again now with new leather.
There's not much I can do with it I'm afraid, gonna see if I can turn it into something els

I recently made a leather handle for a customers bow. I spent an age thinning the leather for a better fit only after making several templates to finally get it right.
I then cut all the odd stitch holes, finished the edges etc..........ONLY to then put my makers stamp on UPSIDE DOWN!!!! I cursed.
Happens to us all. The only light at the end of the tunnel is you dont have to make a template again.
