Now let’s be honest, we’ve all done it, found ourselves sitting cross-legged in front of the washing machine watching the laundry going round and round, only to realise on regaining consciousness that it’s now after dark and wondering where the last two hours went. But this time I have an explanation for the trance-like state, it was the lights inside the rotating drum that held me captive…

And it’s still working

This is the second time the BCUK key ring torch has accidentally gone in with the laundry, but it’s the first time it lit-up! :)

Best regards,
Paul.

SWMBO, did the same with mine. It was on my Swazzi fleece zip, went through and she only realized when she was folding it and the torch lit up.
Nice and clean though.:D

Mine only lasted one wash!
It was still working when it came out - but would not switch off again so it ate its battery...
What did you guys wash yours in Tech Wash?
Non - bio?
Pure Soap?
Daz?
Did your powders include optical brighteners?

The first time I washed it with water only, John (I rarely use anything for laundering clothes and never for my outdoor clothes).

The second time I washed it with Bio tex, the ‘specialist soaker and pre-washer’ as the blurb has it. I’ve had a box hanging around for about five years (I’d been wearing a pair of blue jeans, and had got the knees very muddy when trimming the girth of a log with a hatchet so the log would fit in a 55 litre rucksack).

Kind regards,

Heh, that is hypnotic. For the first part of the thread I thought it was going to be about a
very whizzy washing machine you had with internal lighting (after all microwaves have
lights inside them, but render this largely pointless by putting a grating in the front door).

I'm sure I've mentioned before the Kirby vacuum cleaner which has a headlight, which
must come in handy when vacuuming under sideboards etc.

I recently shared a taxi with my mum and she was struggling a bit with getting the seat
belt to click in, but the BcUK light saved the day - as it's on my keyring - letting her see
where to clip the two bits together. Very useful!

By the way, I am having to log in three times now - once on the main page where I'm
supposed to log in to the integrated site, once on the forum so that it will personalise the
new posts, and again when I want to reply

Reeeeeally.... :lmao:
I'm gonna have to try it sometime!

Didn't realise BCUK did torches btw. I've had two almost bombproof stormlite torches go on me over the last week so shopping time methinks!

It was a freebee with Issue No4 of the BCUK mag. It might be worth checking with The Management to see if the back issues come with the torch, CC.

Kind regards,
Paul.
