Im going to Fenlanders cabin with him in September and I was wondering the best way to stay well fed as some folks know I like my grub

Plenty of fish in that lake! I'd definitley try for some deer as well, it must be easy to get a hold of reindeer over there.
LOL if it was the same lake we were at no-one had caught a fish there for 3 years, locals catch them all the time tho, huge pike. Deer we saw a fleeting glimse of one, Moose we saw loads of s**t, so they were around, luckily there was a supermarket, in fact 2 next to a pizza place 20 k's up the road

Abbe has found a small shop only 14km from the cabin! It should be no problem for you to walk there and back in a day

I think carrying a canoe that distance would slow him dowm considerably and it would result in him being able to carry considerably less food back for the rest of us!

Never underestimate Russell's ability to carry food. On our last trip lunch took 3 hours. It would have been longer but we had to cut it short so we could start dinner
