How to make pine pitch : The Easy Way

Over the years I realized that everybody seems to have a different recipe for making pine pitch. Some add fibers, some let the mixture boil and reduce etc ... I tried most of them, and concluded that there was not much difference. Personally, I like to keep things simple so here is how I do it.

I work with White Pine here in Canada, anybody tried with species from UK ?

Nice simple short vid thanks for sharing, i remember watching an old Ray Mears show where he made it in a very similar fashion using charcoal and used it to repair his birch bark canoe
