The pod has a bar code that tells the machine the size. To increase it I need to reprogram it. Would have been handy if the nespresso people added a button with different cup sizes!

Nespresso also make a Half Decaf coffee pod.

I said years ago I would never buy one of those machines. Then I saw The Light.
Passable Espresso in under 30 seconds. Passable Coffee under a minute. Predictable taste.
Kind of Burger Queen of Coffee!

I used to spend my money at Café Nero and Starbucks when I lived in UK. WAAAY to much money, then I bought a proper machine for home.
An ECM Giotto.

Stopped using it two years ago. Takes to long of my remaining life span to wait for it to heat up.

Yeah the Keurig type I posted above brew quickly IF! If it's been plugged in a while and the water reservoir is preheated. Mind that's what most users do; leave it on 24/7so it's ready to go when they are.

The three lighted buttons on the front top of the machine are the cup sized. just push the button/size you want and push "brew."

As well as various other coffee makers, I've got one of those bean to cup filter machines with a timer, so I can set it for a certain time. The grinder works better than any alarm. Plus I use my Senseo machine during the day, although pods are getting harder to find. I also found a brand new aeropress in a charity shop for a pound, so that will be coming out and about with me.
As for how much is too much? Haven't figured that out yet

I'm most likely a minority of one, but I say if you need just one cup then your lifestyle could do with a tweak :p

I just see it like all addictive drugs, and would rather not find myself in my parents position where 4 cups before lunch is a daily affair. Not to say I'm perfect though, I'm currently dealing with a big crux of my own, but it's going well (he said after just 3 days)
