This is something that I have been following with interest of late as it may be a sign of serious problems in Mother Nature.
Check out this website for a report on 'Colony Collapse Disorder' in Honey Bee populations; www.horseandcountry.tv
This has been talked about on Radio 4 and also by some of the Bee Keepers that have hives locally.

Yes it's a bit freaky I gotta say. It's pretty much the same situation here in north america from what I've read, a far greater number of bees die through the winter than usualy.

The thing that make this story worst is that an entire industry that depend on the bees is also at risk of being hardly touched, which is fruit plants growers that depend on the bees to do the polenisation of their plants...

So yes, it's pretty grim...
