Hobo cooking

Amazing what you can do with a handful of simple ingredients, a sheet of tinfoil and box of matches! This is the 'Hobo dinner' which I'm sure many of you have seen before.

For me it was a great way to cook outdoors without the pots, pans, utensils and other gear I generally use for a cookout (axe, saw, pothangers, gridle etc)

Man, that does look good..good job, Glad you pointed out the bit about using the knife as a eating utensil...I winced every time you put it to your mouth.

Looks good. For a quick meal it works, and can be made up in advance and taken out with you and then just take the foil away and you do not need a large fire for it either.

Yep, thats got me drooling too! Tried to stick to the sort of things a cash-light migrant worker might have had access to tho.

Just bought a book on Hobo cooking which folks on here might find interesting. Has some good ideas plus - unexpectedly - some outdoor and campfire games.
