Hey guys and girls.
I currently live in Chorley, Lancashire right at the base of Rivington pike which stretches out into the moors.
I'm new to the whole hiking and camping world (well in civilian life anyway) this new year I've promised myself i will get outdoors again. I haven't been for a proper hike or stayed out over night since i was in the army. I have stunning hill,pikes, valleys etc etc on my door step but after doing some research I've found out that alot of area is restricted by the water companies and i'm struggling to find places where I'm acutely aloud to pitch a tent. If there is anyone from my area some help and info would be truly great full.
