Took a while but one of my beech trees has come alive:

Yes! Always good to see new life. It would be great to take photographs from a single spot regularly so that you build up a progression showing how they grow.

I had to take the tube off to photograph this one & getting back on a bigger tree will be difficult. I'll be taking plenty more. Hoping the trees will self mulch in the autumn and keep the weeds down

Try eating one of the leaves, they are delicious and tasty. Seriously, they are tender and really good this time of year. Later on they get too tough.
