Help with a turbo flame lighter

I have a turbo flame lighter and I'm having trouble refilling the thing, I know the refill can is sound as I have used it on another lighter, for some reason it will not fill this lighter. I have spoke to a friend who has had a similar problem or is it we are doing it wrong, maybe I need to know "turbo fu" to fill it.

Have you emptied all the previous gas out - press the button where you refill with a pen or similar.

Most refillable lighters have to be purged before you fill them.
Turn it upside down use a small screw driver to press the filler valve down.'
Do this until you can hear no more air escaping.
Then close the flame height adjustment all the way. Open it 1/4 turn.
Shake butane can turn lighter upside down and fill.
This should work.
It has for me in the past.

Some lighters require a specific adaptor to connect them to the butane can. Is the one on your can compatible to the lighter?

Also dont use cheap fuel as it can block outlets/not ignite
ive had good results with ronsons
