now as you all no i spell the word ausome wrongly due the fact it should be spelt like this Awesome (yes i did use a dictionary to get it right). Now the reason for it is that it is a mental block in that i have never been able to spell that word even though many people have tried to teach me how to spell it correctly. The unfortunate thing about it tho is it started out as a mental block and now is a habbit and a mental block so i was woundering is there anyway to break the habbit and mental block

thanks drew

Use Google Chrome Drew... it has a built in spell checker.

It's an american dictionary but it'll help with your spelling... then your posts will become a bit easier to understand :lmao:

Get an orthography assessment, the local Colleges should be able to point you in the right direction. This will identify if its a matter of just poor education (I don't mean that in a bad way, just a statement of process) or is part of an underlying issue, such as dyslexia.

sent from under a tarp, in front of the fire :) using that tapatalk thingy..

The best way I can think of is to always remember that the word "awesome" means that whatever you'r describing fills you with "awe."

now as you all no i spell the word ausome wrongly

Have you not noticed that a few have purposely adopted the misspelling 'ausome' in place of the dictionary correct 'awesome'?

As internet spelling errors go I like ausome ~ and it's certainly easier to read correctly than pwn or pwned are ;) ('own' and 'owned' respectively) ~ ausome could be likened to awesome+ :D .

Dorset for good...!!
Like Santaman said, something which fills you with AWE... In other words, something
so jaw-droppingly amazing that you are struck dumb/frozen to the spot.

If you are a "normal" humming bean, then there will be very, very few moments like this
in your life, so no need for the over-use that we see of this superlative in everyday life....

Problem solved... :p:p :lmao:

Use another word in place of awesome that means the same thing...

Awesome gets used here colloquially as part of NZ English along with 'choice' and 'primo' to fundamentally mean something really good or cool rather than something awe inspiring...

For example.

"Would you like some fish and chips for tea?"

"That would be awesome."

I suggest using a substitute word that you can spell....
