help on sharpening a hoof knife please

peice of wood batton ant some wet and dry paper curve it slightly to match the blade and use like a file

a bit of leather on the batton and well and metal polish to polish it

Is the bevel on the inside of the curve or the outside?

I don't have a name brand or supplier but there are diamond "steels" made for that job. Oval one end and taper down fairly fine at the other. A bloke in Tasmania was importing them but I don't know where from.
I would talk to some farrier suppliers.
