I have a very old DofE Expedition Guide book and in it are some great photos and some of the photos feature kit like jackets and rucksacks with this logo on. I've been trying to find the brand but have had no luck. ChatGPT is telling me it's a vintage outdoor brand called 'Palace Guard'. I don't know if it's correct or not and a Google search returned no info on a brand of this name. Does anybody here recognise the logo?

They have branded kit that they recommend, bought these for each of my sons to take (coz I'm a SAK addict) and this one will go with my youngest when/if he decides to do it.

Looks like a Karrimor clip on that rucksack.

I have vague recollections of that kit turning up at a cub camp in the early 90s. There were tents, rucksacks, jackets and DOE pouches for petrol stoves. All matching.

Someone had taken a permanent marker to it with ‘LBH’ (London borough of Hounslow) in the most visible and random places. From my understanding the council had a pool of it to borrow.

We never saw it or used it again though
