Having never camped before, I've recently got back from a on year stint around Oz and NZ and camped a lot of the time out there. I loved it, the freedom, the closeness with nature. Now I'm back in the UK I want to do some camping in the UK. So I've joined this website to try to find out where to camp and some advice on getting a tent.

Any help is greatly appreciated

THere's load of info on tents on the forum. Try the search engine. You might want to have a look at a tarp shelter before you fork out the folding.
