Not quite sure why it has taken me so long to join this forum as I've been an avid outdoorsy person for more than half my age...

Keen to know more about knife/axe-craft, generally making stuff form the resources around us.

Based East/SE of Cambridge City.

Oh, and I'm partial to a bit of land rover tinkering & off road driving.

Ha fancy seeing you on here Stig, me and the fiance are looking for localish places to get out to the woods. She's never slept outside of a sprung mattress so don't think she's quite ready for a tarp and a pile of leaves. Any suggestions for places to camp that aren't static caravans and manicured mapped out camping pitches?
