Hello, I'm Ryan, living near Nottingham. I've been fascinated by bushcraft since I was little, and grew up going to cubs and scouts and having a huge amount of fun. Through university I spent a lot of time in the hills as part of the rambling society, and later I have been able to get back to bushcraft properly. I've done a couple of courses, and I'm extremely lucky in that a good friend of mine owns a couple of acres of deciduous woodland and lets me camp out there near-enough whenever I can, with permission to have fires and build structures and things, though I'll be honest I usually just throw up a tarp and roll out a bedroll rather than build things.
I've never really committed as much time to bushcraft as I feel like I want to, and I'm hoping this year will be the year I can give it the attention I feel it deserves. I've been a bit lonely in my pursuits so I'm excited to have found a community and can't wait to see what the year brings
