Just popped in to say hello.

Was into this a few years back, before the great interweb! Now my lad is getting into it and found this site trying to get back up to speed

No more mountains for me, just low land rambles combined with photography.

Have found a lot of good information lurking around the site, so would like to say thanks.

Welcome. Depending on where in Somerset you are a canoe may need to be an essential item after those floods.

Luckily, I'm not near a river of any size, so no major flooding YET (I live nearer the coast, so waiting to be inundated by the sea, possibly some time over the next couple of days with the combination of high tides and weather, or just wait for global warming!).
Friend of mine not so lucky though, the builders have still to complete the repairs to his house from the floods last February
